Who we are
HARWOOMA Job Opportunities & Applications is a service of HARWOOMA. We prepare and send tailored job applications on behalf of clients who approve each one. Contact us atapplications@harwooma.com.
What we collect
- Your account email address, used to sign you in with a secure link.
- Your profile: name, phone number, location, target roles, countries and salary range.
- Documents you upload, such as your CV and certificates.
- Records of the applications we prepare, the ones you approve, and replies from employers.
- Payment records such as plan, amount, date and status. Card and mobile money details are handled by our payment partners, not stored by us.
What we never collect
We never ask for or store the password to your email account or to any job site. Applications go out from our own application address, or as a ready package for you to send yourself.
How we use your information
- To find jobs that match your goals and prepare tailored CVs, cover letters and documents.
- To send applications you have approved, and to track replies and interviews.
- To manage your plan, payments and renewal reminders.
- To meet our legal obligations.
Tailored documents use only facts you have given us. We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.
Consent
During onboarding you give consent for us to prepare and send applications on your behalf. Each application is still sent only after you approve it. You can withdraw your consent at any time from your account or by emailing us; we will then stop sending applications.
Who we share it with
- Employers and recruiters, only for applications you have approved.
- Service providers who help us run the service: hosting and database, email delivery, payment processing, and an AI service that helps draft documents from the information you provide. They may use your information only to provide their service to us.
- Authorities, where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your documents while your subscription is active and for one month after it ends, so you can renew without uploading them again; after that they are permanently deleted. If you only used the free first application and did not subscribe, we delete them one month after it was prepared. You can delete any single document, or your whole account, sooner at any time. When you delete your account we delete your profile and documents, keeping only the payment records we are required to keep by law.
Your documents (CVs, certificates and IDs)
- Only you and the team member preparing your applications can open them. They are kept in private storage, never in a public link.
- An employer receives only the documents attached to an application you have approved.
- Only upload a national ID or passport if an employer asks for it. Your CV and certificates are usually enough.
Your rights
Under Uganda's Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019 and similar laws, you can ask to see, correct, export or delete your personal data, and object to how we use it. You can download your data or delete your account from your account settings, or email us.
Security
Your documents are stored privately and are accessible only to you and to the staff who prepare your applications. Connections to the service are encrypted.
Changes
If we make significant changes to this policy, we will tell you by email before they take effect.
